Dear friend,
You can’t get a handle on your life today, and that’s OK.
What kind of limited life would that be, if you could?
A short but important reminder from my morning walk which speaks directly to my tendency to try to organize, categorize, and control everything in my life.
The more open and the less self-protected I become in life, the more overwhelmed I can start to feel from the sheer infinitude of life, ideas, creativity, possibilities...
I lose my ability to track, categorize, organize, catalog, and control it; I can only let it flow through, and trust that the flow will never run out—that it will be here for me my whole life—which means that even though I can’t control it, I don’t need to.
