Let it Play
Dear Friend,
The big task in front of you today is not about what you do—it’s about what is being done through you.
This should change your approach to this day completely:
Instead of working on your plans, practice letting go of all you know in order to allow something which has never been to come into being through you.
Instead of trying harder, practice noticing the movement already happening within you, without your effort. It is powerful and substantial.
Instead of worrying, practice actively trusting that life, the universe, God is for you, not against you.
Trust is not easy for most of us. Like anything, trust comes with practice.
You can start small, with your very next breath. Can you let go of it? Can you let it happen, rather than making it happen? Notice the way it deepens as you let go. Practice this same thing with other aspects of your day.
It’s hard to let go when we believe we’ll lose control of our life. But this belief is based on an assumption that we have control over life in the first place. We don’t.
Let go. Life is a song. You are the instrument. Let it play.
